Paralympian Alphanso “The Ambassador” Cunningham was recently in distinguished company as a nominee for the Courtney Walsh Award for Excellence. Renowned Olympian Michael Frater, internationally acclaimed and retired West Indian cricketer and local heroine and netballer, Nadine Bryan, were the other short listed nominees.
Cricketer Hines got the nod in a ceremony on October 23 at the fashionable Kingston Pegasus hotel However, Alphanso’s nomination was well received and tributes paid to him by persons from all walks of life were tremendous.
