Shane Hudson Paralympic Jamaica

A good season qualified Shane to enter the men’s 400m at the Senior National Trials

where he faced Olympians and those aspiring to that status.

At approximately 6:05 pm on June 27 he lined up in Heat 4 in lane two and when the

starter sent them off it was a controlled but determined run to the finish line in fourth

place and in 48.91 a personal record.

The National Stadium was the best place to earn that feat and Shane was pleased: “I

wanted to break the 49 barrier and…. mission accomplished.”

His season is almost at an end and now he turns his focus on Toronto and Doha where the

Para Pan American Games and the Athletics World Championships will, respectively,

take place in 2015.
