Historic Grassroots Para-Sport Project to champion inclusion and regional leadership

The Grassroots Project, a revolutionary project of the Jamaica Paralympic Association (JPA) aimed at promoting inclusive sports and social change in Jamaica, was just introduced. In order to develop local talent and establish Jamaica as a premier location for regional and worldwide Para Games, the project’s main goal is to build a sports facility specifically for para-athletes.

A thorough evaluation of hotels, accessible cars, and public and private sporting facilities was a crucial part of the launch. Working together with JPA representatives Mr Gavern Tate (Architect) and Ms Tamara Feanny Green (Project Manager), AmPC experts Ms Karlha Andrade (Paralympic Sport Expert) and Mrs Patricia Squella (Architect Specialist in Universal Accessibility) led this assessment. Their partnership will guarantee that Jamaica’s para-athletes receive top-notch, easily accessible facilities and services from the Grassroots Project.
