Paralympic newcomer . makes her maiden voyage to Rio this summer where she will compete in the club throw, an historic feat as she is the first Jamaican para athlete to compete in this event.
Residing in the cool climes of Mandeville has helped her to approach her game in a sedate manner but come September she I’d determined to turn up the temperature and the expected heat in Rio will make it easy.
It will be tough for only a fourteen month in the game athlete competing against others who have been in the event for many years at several championships. But fear will not be a factor as she strives to write another historic chapter in the annals of local Paralympism.
Dana, determined to conquer Rio ……..in the club event.
