Multiple Paralympic gold medallist, Alphanso “the Ambassador” Cunningham will face challenges in Rio as his class in both the javelin  and shot put has been merged with higher classes and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has jettison the Raza point system which recognized disparities in disabilities and it will take his wealth of experience and record performances to put him in medal contention and he has it in him.

A repeat of his 2013 Lyon World Championship  three times breaking record performance is what he must do in challenging the opposition and to earn a place on the podium.

Training is going well for “the Ambassador” and final preparation is in high gear at the Sir John Golding Centre, the home of Jamaica’s Paralympians where it all began and where it will continue with dreams of future champions.
