Readying For Doha World Championships
DOHA, QATAR, OCTOBER 18 -31, 2015
Plans are in high gear for the Athletics World Championships scheduled for Doha, Qatar October 18 – 31.
President Samuda, on behalf of the Board, announced Edmund Jones as the Chef De Mission for the team and he will be assisted by Sport Administrator, Ann Marie Smith.
The Long List of athletes and officials has been submitted and athletes will after the conclusion of the Para Pan American Games in Toronto turn their attention to Doha where they intend to leave indelibly their mark.
On Route To Rio
President Samuda and former athlete, Jovan Campbell, will be off next month to the first meetings of the Chef de Missions for the 2016 Rio Paralympics.
They will leave the island on September 12 for the seminar which will take place at the Windsor Barra Hotel September 14 – 18, 2015.
The JPA is putting all in place to send a strong contingent to Rio next year as it seeks to continue its enviable record of medals at international games.
